We had a great lunch experience here! The restaurant was spotless, and the staff was incredibly patient as we ordered our coffee – we’re a bit picky and like to make substitutions. The coffee was fantastic, and our burgers were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious.
We stopped quick on the way back to Des Moines, IA. We left PCB and I was a little irritated my boyfriend didn’t stop quick as we left the condo. My phone wasn’t pulling up any coffee close, then my service went out. When it came back up the only place right in our part was Panhandle Cafe & Market. I said, “I don’t even care at this point I just need a coffee”. So we pull in to this little treasure. Smoker going in the back; so you know they’re doing the dang thing today. 10/10 coffee & great conversation with the owner. He’s doing great things in this little diamond in the rough. Will definitely be making it a point to come through this way anytime we drive down to the coast. Thanks for the quick service with great espresso! Also gave us a complimentary tuna dip for lunch on the road. God brought us here for a reason.
When I walked in and was shown a tray of beautiful biscuits fresh from the oven I was sold. His passion for quality was incredibly obvious. If you're anywhere near it or passing through, go here. I had the biscuit sausage egg and cheese sandwich and I could not recommend it more.
Panhandle Cafe served the best burger I've had in many years, in many cities. Hell, it just might be the best one, period. Also had the loaded fries with pork, they were out of this world. I reheated the other half in the air fryer when I got home and good lord they were good at 10:00 last night. RILEY was working the front of house, she provided excellent recommendations like her personal favorite (loaded fries with pork) and what she hears as feedback from patrons of their favorite items, which I REALLY appreciated. It's uncommon and helpful to hear both. She mentioned that she was pretty new, but you could tell she was happy, kind, quick, and killing it for FoH. Don't let me find out y'all aren't paying her well!!!! Can't wait to see y'all again. Happy to see Big Jerk Soda there too, they're great people close to us who make a tasty beverage. Best, Sam
Found those place while visiting and needing wifi. Cozy, pleasant to work in, on top of great lunch and in house roasted coffee. The yellow fin tuna melt and Ponce De Latte were tasty . Picked up local creamery ice cream pints to go. Will definitely be back.
This was our first time as locals visiting this restaurant. We were blown away by the delicious burgers and sandwiches. My boys ordered smash burgers and I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. Everything tasted amazing and fresh! The service was top notch too. We'll definitely be back!
We found this place because of its proximity to the Ponce De Leon springs and it was worth it! I had the smoked chicken salad croissant and my husband had the cheese burger with the gourmet sauce (they offer lettuce, tomato and onion with the cheeseburger but he is not a fan). We got both regular and the Cajun fries. It was delicious and one of the best places we have eaten since arriving in the panhandle!
What a fantastic lunch spot! We got smash burgers & the bacon cheeseburger- they were delicious! They have lots of local & homemade options and products! Veteran owned too! We enjoyed getting to chat up the owners and learn about their story and future plans. Definitely coming back!
